Many gardeners recognise the additional benefits which these can have over their electric counterparts.

If you have a small garden then petrol may not be the most sensible choice but if you have a large lawn to tackle then a petrol driven lawnmower will help.

Petrol Lawnmowers Have Two Main Advantages

it may seem like stating the obvious but they don't need an electrical supply. This means no cables trailed across you garden and no need for extension leads. If you garden is large this really can make a difference. You won't have to spend time reeling in all back in and tidying it up for storage when the job is finished which can be quite a time consuming task.

petrol lawnmowers are a good deal more powerful than electric models. The benefits are that you get the job finished more quickly and it takes less effort. Both can be major plus points in the larger garden.

There main disadvantage of petrol lawnmowers is the price. They are without doubt more expensive. Having said that if you shop around you can find some petrol models which will not break the bank.

Chainsaw Garden Tool

You may think that getting a chainsaw is not necessary for the average gardener. But if you have a large garden with mature trees and do quite a bit of sawing and wood chopping then it might be worth thinking about.

The advantage of them is that with a suitable chainsaw garden jobs like chopping wood need not be the back-breaking tasks they usually are.

You would need to do some research and determine which type of chainsaw suits your requirements best. Electric chainsaws are usually cheaper, lighter and are simple to operate. They are relatively quiet.

A petrol garden chainsaw will cost more but will be faster and more powerful. It will last longer too. You can use it anywhere and don't need a power source.

Bear in mind that a chainsaw can be a very dangerous thing unless you know what you are doing. Don't use one without first getting adequate instruction. It is essential that you wear the correct protective clothing at all times including goggles, hard hat and gloves.

With A Chainsaw Garden Work Is Made Easy

Poulan Pro PP3516AVX 16-Inch 35cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Anti-Vibration Chain Saw

Petrol Garden Tools or Electric?

Should You Choose Petrol Garden Tools Or Electric?

Most domestic gardeners will tend to go for electric.

First of all the cost of petrol tools is significantly higher than electric. As this is a major consideration for most gardeners they will often not really consider the petrol version.

Petrol engines can be a little tricky to start until you get used to them but of course with an electric tool you just plug it in a press a button.

Some people dislike the idea of having to store the fuel and fill up the tools. Also you can run out of fuel in the middle of a job.

However amongst professional gardeners it is a very different story, they will go for petrol most of the time.

So why Is That?

They are a sound long term investment because they will last a lot longer. This means a better investment of their money and a better return for their business.

Portability is another significant factor. Petrol powered equipment can be used anywhere regardless of whether their is a power sauce available. They can be used in most weather conditions too.

The professional gardeners needs a tool which is powerful enough to tackle heavy work. Electric garden tools are not always powerful enough.

If you have a lardger garden or tackle fairly heavy jobs yourself then it might be worth considering petrol garden tools next time you are making a purchase. For jobs which need to be done annually it would probably not be worth it but in terms of tools which are in frequent use its worth lookin at both types before making a decision.
